Today I had a sonogram, I am 17 weeks 6 days, the baby was very active and we were hoping to find out the gender. The baby would not open its legs but the ultrasoound tech said she thought it was a girl bc it didn't have boy parts sticking out. My question is has anyone experienced this and later found out the tech was wrong with their predictions?... I am not going to tell anyone the gender until we. Were 100% sure.

Try eating 5 to 6 small meals a day to boost your metabolism. (Make sure it's not junk food). This will also help over eating. Drink plenty of water. Start a cardio program for at least 30 minutes 4 to 5 times a week. Don't go by distance go by time. 30 minutes. You can walk, jog, bicycle, skip rope, etc. Some light weight training is good too. It's good for muscle tone and muscle burns away at fat. You can try cutting out carbs for dinner as well. Good luck.

First time mom solid feeding questions?

My son is 6 months old and has been on solids for 2 or 3 weeks now. He has an 8 ounce bottle every 6 hours. Up until now Ive been giving him about half a container of stage 1 gerber food for lunch and then another half close to bed time. The guide lines I read say he should have 1/4c of fruit and 1/4c of vegetables a day. If I give him the solids first (which I've been doing but a much smaller amount than the guidelines) I'm afraid he might not want all the bottle which I know is the most important part. If I give the bottle first and the solids later I would think he would be thirsty. So my questions are: When do you give solids? before or after a bottle? and if afterward do you give any drink to go along with it? I know he should have little to no juice a day. Sorry if this rambles alot I wasn't sure how to word my question.

How to get over this crazy fear of blood?

I feel like I have a fear of blood, but it's very confusing and I don't know if it is a phobia or not. Whenever I read about blood or learn about it in school, I get this awful sensation and it feel like I have to get out of that situation no matter what. For example, I had to research mosquitoes for a biology ignment and when I was reading about the blood digestion I couldn't handle it. Also, when we were learning about blood types I got really pale and felt like I had to get out of there. NOW, here's the weird part: When I am actually in contact with blood, I don't have any fear at all. I can easily patch up my wounds. I volunteer at a hospital and I carry around blood for transport all the time. When I gave blood for a blood test on the other hand, I can say it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I want to study to become a doctor, but I feel like this is really going to get in the way. Also, on TV when people like cut their hand with a knife to do a "blood pact" or stuff like that, I can't stand it. you should feed your ball outside the enclosure. But more importantly, you should feed him a rat pup instead of two pinkies. Rats have more meat on them than mice. My ball is 3 years old and I made the mistake of feeding him a mouse when he was small. It took me another four feedings to get him to eat rats instead. When yours maxes out at 3 or 4 feet, a mouse won't be large enough to satisfy him. Also, don't feed him two small meals when one large one is better.

Yes, I would believe the facts once I was able to process them and come to terms with their legitimacy. Christianity tries to scare us into believing we'll go to a place called "hell" because the bible tells them it exists somewhere (it must be on a different astral plane/different dimension, oh wait, most of that religious belief speak against the ideal of astral planes/other dimensions when attacking those of different beliefs). I was recently invited by the DWP to sit the Literacy and Numeracy tests for an AO post - tests taken on Saturday 31st January 2009. I am sure that I have ped, but have not received the results yet. Smoking question?

I am going to be applying for life insurance in the next month or so. My question is about smoking. I smoked a few cigarettes a few weeks ago while out at the bar. I have done that occasionally, probably like once or twice a year, but am not a regular smoker. Will this show up on the swab test? If so, what period of time should I let elapse before I take the test. I am not trying to beat the system or anything as I would happily stop the occasional cig if it would make a difference on insurance payments. It's not important to me to smoke. I guess im just trying to make sure I don't get punished as a smoker when i'm not one.

feeding problems, please help?

so my baby is almost 5 weeks old and i exclusively feed. her poop turned green and mucusy and she has alot of gas and shes constantly pooping. i read that his means she has a hindmilk/foremilk imbalance. she has almost every symptom that they listed. i suspected this a few weeks ago but the dr dismissed it as colic, but now her poo is green so im sure its an imbalace. how do i fix it? im trying to feed on the first longer and i know when i have the letdown bc i an hear her swallowing alot but how do i know when to switch? please dont put a time limit either bc all babies are diff and some eat fast or slow. i notice that after awhile she seems to get upset but im not sure if its bc theres not enough milk or bc her tummy hurts bc of the imbalance (she gets bad upset stomach aches bc of it). how do i ensure that she gets enough hindmilk? also, if she gets enough hind milk on the first and is still hungry and i switch her but she does eat long, then will she get too much foremilk on the second ? also, does my eaing habits affect my foremilk/hindmilk poroduction? like does drinking too much water make more foremilk?

Side effects of Zyban?

I took Wellbutrin when I did quit smoking several years ago. At the time I smoked just over 3 packs per day and when I started the Wellbutrin I immediately went down to under a pack a day-it literally cut my cravings that much. However, it doesn't seem to work for everyone. The only side effect i ever had was profuse sweating for about 60 minutes about 1 hour after taking each dose, but I believe that was largely due to taking it in combination with another medication that caused sweating as well. I have never heard of decreased ual function resulting from Wellbutrin as it doesn't effect serotonin and it is actually given to combat the known ual side effects ociated with SSRI's, so I certainly wouldn't worry about that. As far as other side effects, I never felt anxious or had difficulty sleeping, but those have never been issues for me to begin with, although I know some people certainly have noticed both to increase initially. Those side effects, when they do manifest, usually clear within a couple weeks. If you're a heavy smoker, I think it is absolutely worth trying and NYS is now offereing a free Rx for it for about a 6 week supply.

Can anyone tell me how old a baby needs to be before it is allowed to fly? I am asking this as I am pregnant with my first child. My husband and I got married last year, after being together 12 years, we are both 29. Why is gas getting cheaper, and no one really asking why on the news?

I think the whole gas crisis and the prices we were paying was drummed up by the government to begin with. When the economy wasn't as bad as it is now, gas was high and so was everything else (food, oil, etc). It is amazing that the economy is doing so badly and the price of gas miraculously drops to under a 1.50 a gallon. People should question it because it doesn't make any sense. If food went up so much because of the price of gas, why hasn;t the cost gone down with the gas? I think the government regulates the price of gas and yes, Bush did has oil investments so he probably had something to do with it.

Also buy some y lingere/underwear/ bras. I did that because I hated being naked and it helped. Try new body scrubs, lotions, perfume they make you feel good if you can handle the scent. Your going to get bigger and even though you feel big now just think 10+ weeks from now your going to wish you still looked the way you do now. Embrace it and work with what you got. what u need to do is let ur dog know that u own all toys. the thing u must do is take the thing ur dog is most obsessed about and take that before dog gets it. put the toy on the floor and if ur dog goes to it, block her. just stand and and move so u dont let her go to it.after few tries ur dog will give up and just turn around or sit, and if u give her the toy at that moment she will not want it. i have seen many of theses cases work out that way.try it, u will see.u r dominant one and she will only play with the toys U give her. its not HER toys, its all yours and u share with her.

Caring For Grandfather With many Medical Issues.. Am I in the Wrong?

Im caring for my grandfather who has alzeihmers(earlier stages) He is also not able to walk or do any occupational duties for himself. I moved in a few months ago cause the Doctors were no longer going to allow him in the care of my grandmother alone.. Thats why i came here to basically help and to prevent possibly a nursing home/isted living. Now when i came back i sat the family down and explained what i was there for. Reason being is i come from a family where my grandfather owns a business. I explained that im strictly here to care for my grandfather and i am not here for the business. Also we made an agreement on $450 a week 4 24-7 care. Now remind you I have my own place and I left my life to ist the family but what has happened is im constantly being asked to work this business.. Okay, so there is this guy in my honours biology cl. All semester he was the kid in the cl that I'd love to hate. I have a pet Fire bellied Toad, and I got him three years ago. He is a very picky eater and hard to take care of for that reason. He won't eat meal worms, just crickets, and I can't get enough to feed him often enough. Plus, we never bargained on such a long lifespan for him. My science teacher might take him in if I ask because he has a tarantula and two scorpions that eat the same thing. How to act around my dying great-aunt?

My great-auntie Millie is currently in a nursing home for dementia patients. She has had multiple strokes with little physical damage, just her ever-increasing Alzheimer's. It's to the point where if she can recognize you but not know your name or where she knows you from, she's having an awesome day. Well, I just found out today that she had another one, a really bad one. She can't talk and the doctors said anyone who wants to see her should come soon, she doesn't have a lot of time left. My grandma doesn't want me to go, but I really need to. I need closure and I need her to know a lot of things that I never got to tell her, so not going is not an option. RCM: Should I skip from grade 5 to grade 7?

I have no idea what instrument you're talking about but my experience (with b and guitar) on skipping grades was no grades for 4yrs then straight to 6 then 8 the next year on them both. But I'm guessing there are books for each of the grades which outline exactly what's included in each grade? So you need those books. I'd recommend you get, say 5, 6, 7 and 8 maybe later. See exactly what's in them then decide. Also this was for b and guitar but the jump from 6-7 was huge compared to the jump from 7-8. So maybe you could jump from 5-6 then 6-8, I don't know, it all depends on your skill and effort. But (I'm guessing) there are books which have everything you need to do so find them.

First things first. My husbands family is a bit much to take. They are constantly arguing and fighting with each other. I think I know what you're talking about. I don't know what it was, but one time I had a big lump on my outer -lower-right gum. it just kept getting bigger and hurt like hell, then one day, a hole got punctured into it and it was filled with puss. Well when I wanted to get my daughter to sleep in her own bed the doctor just told me to let her cry it out. And not to get her anything to eat or drink to get her to go back to sleep because then you will always have to do that. Just let him cry and after a few nights he will know you're serious and not getting him the cup. If you crack and get it for him the only thing you're teaching him is that if he cries long enough you will eventually give in to whatever he wants. Just be strong and he will learn that mom means business and 4 am is not the time for chocolate milk. Good luck!
