Why are shorter actresses/actors gaining fame in Hollywood?

The entertainment executives are starting to realize that talent comes in all shapes and sizes. Soon one day (hopefully) a size 16 will be considered y again by Hollywood. I'm talking about Marilyn Munroe if you didn't know.
