How to can't understand a foreign language?

I am currently learning a foreign language, my ability to speak is superb, but I lack the ability to understand what should i do??? While attempting to listen to music, radio, or watch a film in another language I CANNOT UNDERSTAND A THING, but I can speak almost fluently!!!! Are there any techniques out there someone can recommend, in order for me to improve my understanding ability???
