Were is the transmission control solenoid in my 01 ranger?

I am a smng guy but . have replaced a few to turn out the dash light. You have two. 1-2 and 2-3 shift point. You take the ran off and they are a little solenoid (looks like a fuel cut off one) that screws in or bolts in. Not expensive. Without a scan tool its hard to figure out which one unless it only has a shift problem going into second or third..
