Make up container with lipstick and TSA rules?

I have a make up compact with several different types of make up in it from Victoria Secret. I know lipstick in a tube is considered a solid, but I am not sure about lipstick in a little pallet? Also, I know that the lip glosses in the pallets are considered a liquid, but if I just scoop them out of the containers and throw it away or something, if I can still take it? Or will little traces of the liquid part be a problem? I haven't been a plane in about 3 years, and usually check my bags so it's usually not a problem, but I'd hate to throw away my $60 make up thing at the airport!
