Young couple moving to california?

Me and my boyfriend plan to move to somewhere in California when we graduate college. I will have a bachelors degree in advertising from a prestigious art school with two internships and a 3.8 GPA. My boyfriend will have his geographical information systems degree with a masters certification. Our parents will support us the first few months in California but I was wondering where about's in California would be best for utilizing our degrees. We like the hot weather, mountains ect and just need some moving advice please.
